The Team: The technical operations team is the backbone of our SaaS offerings. We are a close-knit, well-established operations team that has a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and the technology solutions we provide. We are focused on the technical operations functions that ensure high availability, efficiency, and the security controls necessary to ensure that our products run smoothly, and we meet our SLA and confidentiality commitments.

The Position: We are looking for a dynamic, organized, driven, and detail-oriented Linux Systems Engineer.

You’ll be a key player in a small, internal team dedicated to crafting and maintaining an optimal SaaS hosting environment that is currently running a mixture of Windows and Linux based systems. That said, most of our future growth will be on the Linux side because of the profound success we have had delivering groundbreaking AI features on that platform. We need someone with deep expertise that can help us design, build, scale and support the growing Linux footprint.

In addition, you’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in everything from storage, databases, networking, security, and server virtualization through to technology selections and process improvements. Most importantly, you’ll partner with the rest of the teams to create a high-functioning TechOps relationship across the organization.

This is a fulltime opportunity with the ability to work remote if you are not located in the Boston area.

  • Be responsible for designing and managing our growing Linux environment.

  • Developing SOP’s for maintaining 99.99% uptime of the Linux environment.

  • Implement Linux monitoring tools and maintenance routines.

  • Assist in the day-to-day technical operations of the server, network, storage, and application platforms.

  • React and respond to customer needs effectively and efficiently including adherence to escalation policies and service level standards.

  • Provision, clone, migrate, and support multiple development, test, and production environments.

  • Participate in an off hour and weekend on-call rotation for production infrastructure and SaaS services support.


The Ideal Candidate:

Applicants will need prior experience setting up and managing a production Linux environment. They should have excellent troubleshooting skills as well as a solid background supporting infrastructure technologies and SaaS applications. Some of the critical skills we are looking for are:

  • You have minimum of 5 years of experience completing duties similar to those listed above, specifically in a SaaS or highly available hosting environments.

  • Hands on experience deploying and managing a production Linux environment that utilizes Postgres, Docker, Docker Swarm, Traefik, and Kubernetes

  • A hard working, reliable technical professional with excellent follow-up skills and a high sense of ownership.

  • A respectable background in networking and firewall management, can demonstrate a good understanding of: IP networking, DNS, and load balancing

  • Must be a US Citizen or already authorized to work in this country for any employer.

  • Must be willing to grant us the ability to perform a background check prior to employment.
